Lingkar Lodge is a recently opened(2012) hotel that is located a few miles away from the Trashigang village in Eastern Bhutan. As of January 2014, it is the only hotel in Eastern Bhutan which is built to international or tourist standards. Therefore the amenities, decor and overall construction quality of the hotel are far superior than the typical hotel that one will find in Eastern Bhutan. Located in hillside which was formally paddy fields, the hotel's six cottages have sweeping views of the valley and countryside around them.
According to it's website the hotel has nine rooms and six delux rooms. The delux rooms are well appointed with twin sized premium beds and 32 inch cable TV with international channels such as CNN, BBC, etc. Suites are equipped with a King sized bed, and private dining area. They also have come with a balcony where one can sit and enjoy the view.
Wifi is complementary in all of the hotel rooms, as is a minibar.
Nearby attraction include the Trashigang village with the imposing Trashing Dzong. Yonphula airport which currently is not in operation is less than an hour away from the lodge making it very convinient(When the airport reopens)
Really appreciate YANA's professional organization of the entire trip. Could not imagine how a trekking trip could such be well organized - more or less like a 5-star hotel with the only difference of we were at more than 3,000 above sea level. Special thanks to Yeshey and the chef who had given tons of assistance when I was descending due to attitude sickness. - Simon Liu, Hong Kong
